article A new Da Vinces painting has been found in a Paris attic, according to a report in French newspaper Le Figaro.
The painting, painted in 1798, is part of a collection by French artist Jean-Claude Van Damme and includes the Da Vinices likeness, according the paper.
Van Damme painted the painting with an acrylic paintbrush that he used to brush the face of his wife, Vivienne.
Van De Walle, the director of the Van Dammes Art Gallery in Paris, said the painting had been in the attic for some time, and was part of the collection of Van Damms that he was working on, The Associated Press reported.
The museum did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
